About the Event

Learn how to stitch a hand embroidered rainbow inspired by historic crewel work styles. Using both french knots and chain stitches you will become confident in how to use them and apply to a varity of situations.

The completed rainbow will measure approx 6cmx4cm and can be stitched directly to a garment of your own or form a fabric patch ready for you to apply to a bag or clothing of your own. During the workshop you will gain expert knowledge and embroidery tips from local sustainable textile artist Alex Vincent Textiles.

After graduating from Nottingham Trent University in 2019 with a first class degree in Textile Design, Alex has exhibited at the Knitting and Stitching Show at Alexandra Palace and Harrogate. He has had work and original projects featured in Stitch Magazine as well as having worked at Hand and Lock in London.

All materials included. If you wish to bring your own garment or bag to stitch on to, please ensure it is made of heavy weight woven fabric.

This workshop is suitable for beginners with limited spaces.
